Moscow court gets Raiffeisenbank’s 615 mln rbl suit against MTS

MOSCOW, Jul 7 (PRIME) -- The Moscow Arbitration Court has registered a lawsuit from Raiffeisenbank, a subsidiary of Austria’s Raiffeisen Bank International, seeking to claim 615 million rubles from mobile operator MTS, according to the register of arbitration cases seen by PRIME on Wednesday.

The lawsuit was received on Tuesday and has not been set for hearing yet.

As the Federal Antimonopoly Service is involved as a third party, the lawsuit could be related to the bank’s losses because of excessive prices for SMS mailouts. Similar lawsuits were earlier filed by other banks against the country’s leading mobile operators.
